Webinar purpose

Trauma of the midface is frequently seen after road traffic accidents, assaults, and falls especially in the elderly. As basic diagnostics, clinical examination and 3D imaging are recommended in the recent guidelines. In selected cases, the evaluation by an interdisciplinary team including ophthalmologists could be beneficial. Due to the lightweight construction and the functional importance of the pillars of the midface, reduction of fractures and adequate osteosynthesis is crucial. In this webinar we will address basic diagnostics, clinical examination, 3D imaging and the principles of treatment concepts including timing, sequencing and after-care.
