Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery | National Cancer Center | University Hospital Heidelberg

Webinar purpose

Vascular Anomalies mainly manifest in the head and neck region and might impair function as well as the facial appearance of the patient enormously. For the planning of the diagnostic workaround and the specific treatment a basic knowledge of the etiology and subdifferentiation of the anomalies is needed. While typical hemangiomas of the neonate are mainly treated with ß-Blockers, vascular malformations need to be approached according to the vascular bed being affected.

With this webinar an algorithm is provided that allows patient-specific planning of diagnosis and treatment with special regard to the minimal-invasive interventions.
