Aesthetic Considerations in Post-Traumatic Deformities and Orthognathic Surgery

SORG Course Annual Meeting 2024

Aim of the Course

Function and aesthetics are the primary objectives in most maxillofacial surgical procedures. The challenging restoration of form and function, particularly in post-traumatic cases, represents its greatest exponent.

Furthermore, the paradigm in the management of dento-facial deformities has shifted from a purely occlusal approach to an almost entirely aesthetic one. This transition has been complemented and enhanced by a comprehensive range of additional aesthetic procedures.

This course on Aesthetic Considerations in Post-Traumatic Deformities and Orthognathic Surgery aims to provide participants with up-to-date knowledge of various techniques involved in addressing post-traumatic deformities and performing orthognathic surgery. Additionally, it will cover complementary treatment procedures to optimize aesthetic outcomes while preserving function and stability.
