During the SORG Annual Meeting on March 15, 2026, in Groningen, our long-standing member Prof. Dr. Dr. Peter Kessler was honored with the title of Honorary Member.

Peter has been an integral part of SORG since 2004 and has contributed in numerous leadership roles over the years. He served as Chairman of the Craniofacial Section from 2012 to 2017, as Research Officer from 2015 to 2020, and as Education Officer from 2021 to 2026.

In addition to his leadership positions, Peter founded our annual R&D Forum and was a co-founder of the SORG Grants program. He also established two regional groups, the Gulf and India groups, significantly expanding SORG’s global reach.

We are very grateful for his outstanding dedication and contributions. In recognition of his exceptional service, we are proud to confer upon him the status of Honorary Member.
