On April 10, 2025, five days after his 79th birthday, Professor Johannes Schubert passed away after a serious illness that affected his habitually active lifestyle at the end of his life. Several generations of employees and colleagues have already mentioned his versatile professional achievements in various trade journals in the past and public media.

Professor Schubert was a member of SORG from the early beginning and, with his comprehensive expertise, actively helped shape the association's purposes in terms of training and further education as well as research and development in oral and maxillofacial surgery before retiring as a passive member in 2014.

The international SORG community says goodbye to its member Professor Schubert from Halle, Germany. We are bidding farewell to an outstanding professional, a remarkable individual, and a cherished friend. We will keep a true memory of him.
