Faculty of experienced national and international speakers

Course Chairman Baucke van Minnen, Groningen, The Netherlands

Course concept

This course aims to clarify which treatments in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery can be best  performed in one session, with today's knowledge of treatment concepts and the current pre- and peroperative planning tools.  However, even nowadays there are still many diseases and deformities in the field of OMF Surgery that are best treated in several stages. This will also be addressed. OMF surgeons and residents, as well as Clinical technicians with interest in surgery and surgical planning are encouraged to participate.

At the end of the course the participant will have insight into several fields of OMF surgery regarding the subject of single-staged and phased treatment. Conceptual lectures with numerous examples of pre-operative planning, will be alternated with case based short lectures in the following fields:

  • Prosthetic driven oncological resection and reconstruction
  • Traumatology
  • TMJ surgery
  • Craniofacial surgery
  • Implantology
  • Operative treatment of MRONJ
