Part 1 | Morning session | 3D virtual orthognathic planning | 08:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • Welcome, course objectives, and overview of workflow in orthognathic surgery (Dr. Nasser Alasseri)
  • Principles of virtual surgical planning, imaging requirements (CBCT, intraoral scans, model scanning) (Dr. Hussam Shawly)
  • Demonstration: importing patient data into IPS software, landmark identification and coordinate system orientation
  • Demonstration: cephalometric analysis and 3D evaluation, establishing occlusal plane, midline, and symmetry
  • Hands-On: Import patient data, Perform virtual diagnosis, Identify landmarks and analyze asymmetries
  • Lecture and demonstration: virtual osteotomies (Le Fort I, BSSO, genioplasty), surgical movements (pitch, yaw, roll) (Dr. Nasser Alasseri)
  • Hands-on: perform osteotomies, simulate surgical movements, evaluate soft tissue prediction
  • Demonstration: designing intermediate and final splints in VSP, exporting files for 3D printing / CAD-CAM
  • Hands-on: create splints on participant cases
  • Wrap-up: tips for integrating VSP, troubleshooting errors, feedback and discussion (Dr. Nasser Alasseri / Dr. Hussam Shawly)

Part 2 | Afternoon session | Facial trauma – hands-on fixation workshop | 01:30 – 03:30 p.m.

  • Mandible fracture fixation; principles of reduction and fixation, plate and screw techniques (angle, parasymphysis, condyle), hands-on application (Dr. Hisham Komo)
  • Zygoma fracture fixation; principles of reduction and fixation, fixation at key buttresses (frontozygomatic suture, infraorbital rim, zygomaticomaxillary buttress, orbital floor), hands-on application (Dr. Omar Halabi)

Part 3 | Afternoon session | Facial trauma – hands-on fixation workshop | 03:45 – 05:00 p.m.

  • Midface fracture fixation; principles of reduction and fixation, techniques for fixation of midfacial fractures, hands-on application (Dr. Hisham Komo)
  • Panel discussion and Q&A; case-based discussion on complex trauma cases, participant questions on facial trauma management (Dr. Omar Halabi)

Cancellation by course organizer

  • the course organizer reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the course non-viable.
  • if the organizer cancels a course, registrants will be offered a full refund of registration fees. The organizer will not reimburse other costs incurred with the course (travel or hotel bookings by participants not made by the organizer).
  • should circumstances arise that result in postponement of a course, the organizer has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Registration cancellation by participant:

  • The deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 21 business days before the course.
  • Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund less a service fee of € 100.-.
  • Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend the course.
  • Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. When writing your cancellation please include the details of your credit card or bank details (BIC).
