Over 90 attendees participated during the SORG South East Asia course held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from May 11 – 13, 2018. The occasion in Kuala Lumpur attracted a large number of international guests also featuring the two international Chairmen Prof. Lim Kwong Cheung (Hong Kong, China) and Prof. Peter Kessler (Maastricht, The Netherlands).

At the beginning of the course, Prof. Cheung performed a live surgery moderated by Prof. Peter Kessler (Le Fort I osteotomy, left ramus osteotomy and bimaxillary distraction).

Further to the live surgery, clinical talks were given focusing mainly on craniofacial deformities under the umbrella of the main course topic “Advances in the surgical management of craniofacial deformities”.

The rounding of this excellent teaching event was the hands-on workshop on the last afternoon while all surgeons had the opportunity to work on synthetic skull models treating a mandibular defect and on a panfacial trauma, again moderated by both Chairmen and the local S.O.R.G. SEA course instructors.
