A 2-days-course entirely dedicated to mandibular fracture patterns and the different approaches towards their operative care. For the first time the SORG Trauma section supported by TMJ section members made its way to run a hands-on cadaver course in the easy-to-reach city of Amsterdam. The first day was entirely covered with scientific lectures which were run right in the historical city center of this booming city. The Trippenhuis offered a perfect surrounding for this theoretical part.

The highlight of the meeting was certainly the second day during which the participants had the chance to practice on freshly created mandibular fractures offering a totally authentic environment to exercise on solutions for known fracture patterns. There was imaging available on all human specimen which helped to discuss the best approaches and osteosynthesis material needed. All participants also had the chance to intensely get trained on intraoral accesses by endoscopic equipment. The trauma section plans to run another course in Amsterdam in spring 2021 featuring panfacial trauma as main topic.
