The S.O.R.G “Arthroscopic and Open Temporomandibular Joint Surgery – Basics and New Horizons” Course in Vienna, Austria has been a highlight on the calendar for several years in the past and the 2018 version was no different. A highly successful course was driven by an extremely well specialised and experienced faculty in the field of TMJ treatment. These members included Raúl González-García (Badajoz, Spain), Louis Mercuri (Chicago, USA), Florencio Monje (Badajoz, Spain), Andreas Neff (Marburg, Germany), Dorrit Nitzan (Jerusalem, Israel), Nadeem Saeed (Oxford, UK) and Andrew Sidebottom (Nottingham, UK).

Another interesting S.O.R.G. pre-conference event was carried out at the occasion of the EACMFS Congress 2018 in Munich on September 17th driven by four esteemed German experts in their field. Andreas Fichter (Munich), Marco Kesting (Erlangen), Jochen Weitz (Munich) as well as Course Chairman Jürgen Hoffmann (Heidelberg) gave detailed insights by lecturing on “Innovative Approaches in Reconstructive Head and Neck Surgery” followed by a limited attendance hands-on model workshop for the registered 40 participants from 22 nations.
