SORG Corporate Forum on New Procedures in Non-Augmentative Preprosthetic Restoration
SORG Pre-Conference Event at the 40th SFOMK Congress
Aim of the Course
Patients with atrophic jaws and jaw defects after ablative tumor treatment and post-traumatic and congenital jaw deformities can be successfully rehabilitated by bone augmentation techniques and osseointegrated dental implants. Digitization and rapid prototyping technologies have enabled a new non-augmentative preprosthetic surgical treatment approach: Preprosthetic Individual Patient Solutions (IPS®). Unlike the old subperiosteal implants, these implants are additively manufactured from 3D imaging data and have a “one fit only” design with a very good primary stability due to rigid fixation. The course will introduce the innovation and report first experiences over four years.
